There are many people that have had an impact on my life and influenced me in many different ways. My mother, however, has had the biggest impact on my life, and influenced me more than anyone else. She has had an impact on me since the day I was born, and she still does today. If the whole world were put into one scale, and my mother in the other, the whole world would kick the beam.
Nothing can come close to the love that a mother feels for her children. Women carry their young before they are born and then continue to nurture them throughout their childhood and even into adulthood. A famous saying states that "God could not be everywhere and so he invented mothers", these words are a great inspiration to mothers across the world. When all is well, a mother puts her children before anything else, including their own comfort and happiness.Mothers are meant to be the cheerleaders of their kids, sometimes in loud and visible ways, sometimes in subtle or unspoken ways in the background.
Describing a mother's love is virtually impossible. It is a feeling that can only truly be understood by those that experience it. The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which one always finds forgiveness. Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible and same is with me. My Mother is the person who fueled me up to gear on the track which takes to the journey of achieving dreams.
It took me eighteen years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has been on my life. She’s the kind of person who always has time for her kids; always interested in learning something new, would sacrifice herself for her family, and is easily the strongest woman in my eyes. Growing up, I know I haven’t been the best daughter in the world but if you were to ask her, she would say otherwise.
My mother is strong, smart, and puts her family first before anything else. She embodies the qualities that I wish were my own. Her actions have definitely made my life more positive and productive. Had it not been for my mom, I would not be in college again making something out of my life. And when I am finally into earning my post graduate degree, it is only because of my mom.
I know the troubles what my mother had been through, she still managed to keep her feet on the ground and her head held up high. She's always there for me when I need help, and I never hesitate to ask her for advice. She's a strong person, always patient and forgiving me, even when I know I don't deserve it. My mother never thinks twice about offering concern, comfort and care to anyone she meets. She's a truly wonderful person.
She gives me a sense of security by showing me that she's always there. Even though we're miles and miles apart, she's still with me in spirit, guiding me when I'm lost, helping me find the solution to the toughest problems one can imagine. She doesn't need to tell me that she cares, I can understand her by the tone of her voice. She's there to appreciate my laughter, she's there to dry my tears, and most of all, she's there to help me understand and accept life's ups and downs.
A lot has happened between us over the years, we spent time together, and time apart. There were times when I thought we couldn't get any closer, and there were times when we seemed so far apart. But somehow since I'm in college, we seem closer now than ever, maybe not by distance, but by our hearts. Perhaps it's because I grew up now, and we understand each other better. She's willing to listen to me like an adult, and to me she's my best friend.
